IEX Presentation
Oct 12th
I had the privilege of working in this very stimulating project for the past few weeks. I was tasked to just go crazy with this presentation that my friend and co-worker Marlon Morina animated masterfully. This was projected on a 120ft video screen in New York City at an event where Malcolm Gladwell spoke. Pretty darn cool if you ask me.
Full screen it for the full experience please!
I was also tasked to do the audio for the panelist intros, here’s Malcolm Gladwell’s
Animation Test.

Here’s a little side project some coworkers had been working on. They asked me to design the sound for it so I did
I love how that character is animated, and that fire….oh man.
eeeeeyaaaaaaaaah!
Manny did the animation, Alain did the fire goodness
Electromotive Studios Identity.
Jun 2nd
Decided to mess around with Cinema4D and learn a bit more about it. Here’s my first foray into this relatively new world for me. Of course I had to jump into logic and design some sound for it. Thanks to Marlon Morina and Greyscalegorilla for the knowledge.
Powerade Sound Design
Jan 21st
Last year, I was tasked to design sound for Powerade and their massive South Africa World Cup campaign. These deep dives were part of a Powerade YouTube channel that formed part of a short film. Designed and animated by the incredibly talented Fabian Garzon and Marlon Morina, these pieces were the highlights of my year. Enjoy!

Bedrock Framework Ident.
Oct 18th
Had the chance to work on this ident for an upcoming series of tutorials covering the intricacies of the Bedrock flash framework. A code base I have been using for a long time, which was created and is maintained by one of the most talented developers I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, one of my biggest mentors, Alex Toledo. He was happy with the outcome.
The logo is his creation. I animated it and designed the sound for it.
Motion Typography: RadioLab
Oct 11th
Self imposed project involving Motion Typography. One of my favorite radio shows RadioLab has a podcast and I’m obsessed so I made a little intro just because.
Electromotive ID
Oct 11th
Since electromotive’s name evokes of something mechanical, I decided to go with a complex look of wires, and things that ultimately I would not understand if I saw them in real life… I know it’s some kind of engine, but that pipe over there that connects to this square thing? No idea what it does. Anyways. Here it is, enjoy.
Run on Clouds
Oct 11th
This is an experimental, self imposed assignment done a while ago, with some motion tracking and edited to the sounds of Arcade Fire. Rebellion (Lies).
It’s a mock Nike “ACG” commercial.
Production, editing, animation: Luis Giron
Metempsychosis
Oct 11th
I was asked some time ago by FX artist Alain Lores, to contribute for a piece called Metempsychosis. He had done this experimental piece about 3 months ago, and it’s a mesmerizing display of fire, glass and light. Truly fantastic to watch. The soundtrack I created in a couple of sessions, was incredibly fun to create. I had never done anything experimental before, so I took an approach of anything goes, space-opera kind of thing with ominous strings and sci-fi sound effects. (including a very dear industrial refrigerator which I pitch bent and added effects to it on 00:14, I’ve used that one in some form in other projects).
Thank you Alain for the opportunity to work on this. It is truly a privilege.
Check it out!
